Salvia buchananii (Buchanan's sage)

The large, fuzzy, redish purple flowers are a real knockout. The glossy green leaves and purple stems add to its beauty. The stiff purplish stems arise from a creeping rootstock. A thin and wispy sage that fills in here and there in the border.
