Bee Balm ‘Jacob Kline’ (monarda didyma) is widely considered the gold standard for red Monarda—and for good reason. This outstanding herbaceous perennial produces bold, deep red flowers that glow in the summer garden while offering exceptional resistance to powdery mildew, a common concern with bee balm.
Bred for strength and reliability, ‘Jacob Kline’ forms a sturdy, upright clump that holds its shape and blooms generously without constant fuss. The vivid red blossoms are irresistible to hummingbirds, butterflies, and bees, making this an excellent choice for pollinator gardens and naturalized plantings.
This is a variety we confidently recommend and grow because it performs consistently year after year, even in challenging conditions where other Monardas struggle.
