This plant has been bred for its robust strength and production of abundant oil. Its prolonged blooming season and substantial, tapered true purple flower spikes make it a desirable choice for making lavender wreaths and similar crafts that demand elongated stems. The extracted essential oil of this plant closely resembles that of its original source, 'Grosso'. Its one of our favorite of the intermedias. 

It was first introduced by Clive Larkman of Larkman Nurseries in Australia.

Not sure what to think.

Four of the 15 lavender have already died. I followed the directions exactly. One more looks as though it will die too. I was so looking forward to getting the Riverina Thomas because it's taken me a while to find them.
