Lavandula x intermedia 'Fat Spike Grosso' Lavender

Initially introduced to the U.S. as 'Grosso' in the early 1980s, this cultivar was later found to be unique. Its growth pattern, resembling 'Grosso', is characterized by a dense cushion of silver-gray leaves, but its flower spikes are notably larger and produce a less potent oil. While perfect for bouquets and crafts, it is not recommended for essential oil production. The dark violet-blue flower spikes are highly aromatic and grow on long stems.
