Lavandula angustifolia 'Folgate' is a popular English lavender cultivar for many reasons. It has a neat, tidy growth habit, which makes it very suitable for hedges. This fast-growing variety produces dark purple flower spikes on stems reaching up to 10 inches, making it particularly valuable for cut flower and dried flower production. The compact spikes, measuring 1-2 inches in length, feature dark violet calyces contrasting beautifully with vibrant violet corollas that retain their color and fragrance through drying. The soft grey-green foliage provides an elegant backdrop to the blooms while maintaining the plant's naturally tidy appearance throughout the growing season. 'Folgate' combines ornamental appeal with practical uses—equally at home in the garden or as a reliable source of premium cutting material. Plant orders ship Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays via UPS or USPS `-both 2-3 day. Shipping begins in spring (typically by mid-April) based on weather and plant readiness.
