Echinacea purpurea (purple coneflower)

This particular coneflower is often found in gardens and is easily recognizable by its striking clumps of reddish-purple blooms that appear in midsummer. Its dual purpose as both a medicinal herb and an ornamental makes it a highly valuable plant. Additionally, it is known to be the easiest among coneflowers to cultivate.
