Aster laevis (Smooth Aster)

Smooth aster, or Aster laevis, is a spreading plant with tall, sturdy stems and inch-wide, violet flowers. It is known for being an excellent fall bloomer and is such a valuable addition to gardens for its ability to attract butterflies and bees in the late season. We highly suggest planting pollinator plants with a variety of bloom times with the health of the pollinators in mind! It also is a great choice for a cut flower.
