Agastache foeniculum, or anise hyssop, has a tall, upright growth pattern. Its abundant leaves emit a distinct aroma of anise or licorice and can be enjoyed fresh or dried in a variety of teas and salads. Throughout the summer, its dense, spike-like flowers bloom in shades of vibrant violet and blue. This particular cultivar is more resilient to harsh winter conditions compared to other species, making it a preferred choice for pollinators such as bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds.

Shipping for the season begins in April. We ship based on the average last frost date for your shipping zip code and also when the plants are well rooted in their pots. Most plants are shipped in 2 3/8” square, by 3 ¾” deep “band pots”. Plant size varies by species and ship date but will be well-rooted and ready to plant.

What to Expect When Ordering Plants

Are these plants grown by you?

Yes. Every plant is grown, selected, and packed by hand at our Southern Oregon nursery ~ at Goodwin Creek Gardens.

How do plants arrive?

Plants ship live in band pots (not bare roots) to protect roots and reduce stress during transit.

Will my plants look perfect on arrival?

Some light wilting or bent foliage is normal after shipping and usually resolves quickly with appropriate watering, light, and time.

When do you ship?

Plant orders ship Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays via UPS or USPS `-both 2-3 day. Shipping begins in spring (typically by mid-April) based on weather and plant readiness.

Do you ship in hot weather?

During extreme heat, shipping may slow or pause so plants arrive in the best possible condition.

Is there a minimum order?

Yes. There is a 6 plant minimum for individual potted plants. You may mix varieties.

What if there is an issue with my order?

Inspect plants upon arrival. If something looks concerning beyond normal travel stress, email photos to info@charsawfarms.com within 24 hours.
